Triumph's For Sale

Ken Phillips has decided to sell his 1975 TR7 (hard top). This is probably the oldest running TR7 in the country, and was one the few TR7 ,s that was manufactured right hand drive in 1975 and exported to South Africa, (the TR7 was originally aimed at the American market when first introduced) The vehicle is 90% restored complete with new upholstery and ceiling, and has been resprayed. I have so far spent R14 000 in repairs and restoration work. All mechanical work has been done by Pat Duckham motors of Pietermaritzburg. The vehicle has only done 58 000 miles, and the engine is very good nick. The clutch needs attention. I also have a full list of all the previous owners of the car. Any serious offer considered in the low twenties.

Spare parts – shock absorbers

A very vital, and often neglected, piece of safety equipment on our cars!
Good news is that a number of our members have recommended a gentleman who can supply both new items, and recondition those Girling lever arm shocks to be found on most TR’s up to TR6 s. The company is GT Shocks run by Ian Glass who comes with a good pedigree. His contact details are telephone 021 685 5484, cell no 083 454 1119 or 082 933 4585 and e mail ianglass@iafrica.com
